Individual vs Professional

Two ways to run your bookings on 1booq. Pick the one that matches how you work — you can always switch later.

👤

Individual

Solo, free, forever.

  • One location, one bookable service. You manage everything yourself.
  • Free with no usage caps — keep using it as long as you want.
  • Max one individual provider per account.
🏢

Professional

Multi-location, multi-manager, paid by the month.

  • Multiple sites, slots, and sub-slots — for tables, courts, lanes, anything bookable.
  • Share booking-access with colleagues — assign owners, contacts, or booking handlers.
  • 30-day free trial, then monthly credits per active slot.

Heads-up: terms you'll see in the Professional dashboard

In Professional mode the platform uses a few specific terms: Site = a location (e.g. a branch or office). Booking Slot = a bookable service type (e.g. a haircut, a yoga class). Sub-Slot = a smaller unit within a slot (e.g. one of the 8 tables in a restaurant).

Common questions

Still wondering?

If I'm not sure, which mode should I pick?
If you're unsure, start with Individual. It's free, has no caps for solo use, and you can upgrade to Professional later with one click — the trial only starts when you upgrade, not before.
Can I have both an Individual and a Professional provider?
Yes. One user account can have up to one Individual provider AND any number of Professional providers in parallel.
If I downgrade to Individual and later upgrade again, do I get a new trial?
No. The 30-day trial is one-time per user account. Once it has started, downgrading and re-upgrading does NOT reset it. Pick your activation timing carefully.
What happens to existing bookings if I downgrade?
Bookings on the remaining single slot stay intact. But you can't downgrade until the provider already fits Individual limits (1 site, 1 slot, no sub-slots, no co-managers).
How is a 'slot' different from a 'sub-slot'?
A slot is a bookable unit with its own schedule (e.g. a hairdresser, a consulting room). Sub-slots are for multiple interchangeable units that share ONE schedule — like the tables in a restaurant or the courts at a tennis club: the opening hours apply to all of them, but customers can pick a specific one. If each unit has its own schedule (e.g. a yoga studio with multiple rooms run by different instructors), use separate slots — not sub-slots. Sub-slots only exist in Professional mode.
What if I run out of credits mid-month?
Bookings keep working — they're not blocked by a low balance during the month. Only the monthly fee charge on the 1st is affected. If the 50%-of-owed threshold isn't met on day 1, you enter a 5-day grace window with daily emails; after grace, the slot is suspended (reactivatable any time).
Do I have to top up credits manually every month?
No — you can set up a monthly credit subscription that auto-refills your balance with a fixed number of credits at the start of each billing cycle. Paddle handles the recurring payment, so your slots stay funded without manual top-ups. One-time credit packs are also available if you prefer to top up by hand.
