How can we help?

Guides, frequently asked questions and step-by-step walkthroughs for 1desq — for businesses and their customers.

Tip: every 1desq screen has a "?" button in the bottom-right corner — press it for a step-by-step walkthrough of that screen.

Business guide

Getting started as a business

Your digital front desk is up and running in six steps.

Fees and trial period
See what the base fee includes and what the add-on modules cost.
1

Create an account or sign in

Register in 1desq, or sign in with your existing 1booq account — they are one and the same. Confirm your email address via the link we send you.

2

Create your business

Enter its name, pick the business type and switch on the modules you need. The base package is always included; you can change modules anytime later on the Organization page.

3

Build your catalog

Add your passes (for example 10-visit or unlimited monthly), and put over-the-counter items under Products. Instead of "pass", your business can pick its own word: ticket, entry pass, membership, treatment or service.

4

Invite your team

Send an invite to an email address or a 1booq ID, or invite your 1booq-side workers with one click. Their role decides what they can see and manage.

5

Add your customers

Record them manually on a customer card, or share your join code or QR code and they connect themselves. A customer card works without an account and can be linked to one later.

6

Start the daily work

Admit arrivals on the Check-in screen, see who is inside on Currently in, settle tabs and payments in the Cash register, and let Reports sum up your revenue.

Customer guide

1desq as a customer

How to keep track of your passes and check-ins at your providers.

1

Connect to your provider

Accept the invitation you received by email, or enter the join code you got from your provider on the Join a provider screen. You can also scan a QR code.

2

Open My providers

Per provider, you see your passes, remaining visits, check-ins and any forms waiting to be filled in.

3

Check in on site

At the reception or the self-service kiosk you check in with your entry card or QR code — your pass visits are deducted automatically.

4

Keep your details in order

On My billing details you can set the name your invoices are issued to; Profile and Settings work just like in 1booq.

Account & security

Keep your account safe

Password & recovery

Use a strong password with at least 8 characters. If you lose it, the "Forgot password" flow lets you set a new one via email. Your 1desq and 1booq accounts are the same, so they share one password.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Enable it on the Profile screen. It uses a TOTP authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator). Make sure to save your backup codes somewhere safe!

Privacy settings

You can request an export of your data or the deletion of your account anytime at privacy@1booq.com; the same address handles your GDPR rights. We typically respond within 30 days.

Fees & credits

Billing and balance

Base fee and modules

The base fee is 100 credits per month and includes customer management, passes, sales, sessions, staff scheduling, the cash register and invoicing. The Check-in, Key management and Forms modules cost an additional 100 credits per month each. 1 credit = €0.10.

Trial period

You can try your first business free for at least a month, no bank card needed. The trial is available once per person; after it ends, the monthly fee is deducted in credits.

Credit balance and settling

You buy credits on the Credits page; the balance is shared with your 1booq account. If there aren't enough credits for the monthly fee, you get a grace period of a few days and can settle the balance from the banner at the top of your desk — your data is kept safe throughout.

Modules

The base fee and the add-on modules

The base fee covers the whole daily operation; three add-on modules can be enabled on top, each switchable anytime by the business owner on the Organization page.

What the base fee includes

Customer records, passes, sales, sessions, staff scheduling, cash register, invoicing, team and reports — at no extra charge.

Check-in & kiosk

Card, QR-code or entry-code check-in at the reception, and self-service check-in at the kiosk. The Currently in screen always shows who is inside.

Key management

Handing out and taking back locker and safe keys, tied to the customer — you always see who has what.

Forms

Declarations, data sheets and questionnaires filled in from templates, with permission control: you decide who can see the submissions.

Glossary

1desq terms

The most common terms as you meet them on the screens.

Business

A company or organization managed in 1desq. You can run several from one account and switch between them in the header.

Pass

An entitlement sold to a customer — for example 10 visits or unlimited monthly. Your business can pick its own word for it: ticket, entry pass, membership, treatment or service.

Product

An over-the-counter item you sell at the desk — a drink or a towel, say. Not to be confused with a pass: a product doesn't grant entry.

Session

A scheduled class or event — a workout or a course, for example — that customers attend with a pass.

Customer card

The customer's record at your business. It can exist without an account and can later be linked to the customer's 1booq account.

Entry card

The customer's identifier at check-in: a QR code or a physical card scanned at the reception or the kiosk.

Credit

The platform's billing unit: 1 credit = €0.10. Monthly fees are deducted from it, and the balance is shared with the 1booq side.

Team member

A user invited into your business. Their role controls which screens they see and which actions they can take.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a 1booq account to use 1desq?
No. 1desq is fully self-contained — after registering, every feature is available. If you have a 1booq account you can sign in with it: they are one and the same account, with a shared password and credit balance.
Do my customers have to register an account?
It's not required. You can keep them on customer cards without an account and everything works. If a customer later links an account to their card, they can see their own passes and check-ins on their My providers page.
How do I invite a team member?
On the Team screen, in three ways: with an invite sent to an email address, with the person's 1booq ID, or — if they already work for you on the 1booq side — directly from your worker list.
What's the difference between a pass and a product?
A pass is an entitlement to a service (visits or a period), while a product is an over-the-counter item sold at the desk. The cash register handles both, but only a pass grants entry.
Can I rename the word "pass"?
Yes. On the Organization page your business can pick its own terminology — ticket, entry pass, membership, treatment or service — and the whole interface follows it.
How does check-in work?
On the Check-in screen you identify the arrival by card, QR code or name search; the system deducts a visit from their pass and adds them to the Currently in list. With a kiosk, customers can check in by themselves.
I have several businesses — can I manage them from one account?
Yes. The business switcher in the header lets you change anytime; each business has its own customers, passes and settings.
How much does 1desq cost?
The base fee is 100 credits per month (€10); the Check-in, Key management and Forms modules cost an additional 100 credits each. Your first business comes with a free trial of at least a month.
As a customer, where do I see my passes?
On the My providers page, grouped by provider: passes, remaining visits, check-ins and forms in one place.
What happens if I run out of credits?
After a failed monthly deduction you get a grace period of a few days, and a banner at the top of your desk shows the amount due — settle it with the Settle now button. If it isn't settled within the grace period, the business is suspended; your data is kept, and after settling everything continues where it left off.
Troubleshooting

When something doesn't work

The most common snags and their solutions.

I can't find a screen on my desk
Most likely its module is switched off (Organization page), or your role doesn't cover it. A disabled module's card also disappears from the desk — that's by design, not a bug.
The join code doesn't work
When a code is regenerated, the old one stops working — ask the provider for a fresh code or QR code. Easily confused characters (0, O, I, 1, L, U) never appear in the code.
The invite or confirmation email doesn't arrive
Check your spam folder and make sure the address is correct. Most screens offer a resend; a few minutes' delay can happen.
The "?" walkthrough skips some steps
The walkthrough only visits elements currently visible on the screen — steps for disabled modules or parts hidden by your role are silently skipped.
I was signed out unexpectedly or redirected to a setup screen
That happens for security reasons: an expired session, a required password change or new terms to accept take you to the login or setup screen. Once you complete the steps, everything continues where you left off.
